Czech experts introduce suggestions for nature conservation in Kotayk region
Experts of the Nature Conservation Agency from the Czech Republic presented suggestions for enhancing national legislation on nature conservation at the regional administration of Kotayk in Hrazdan.
The suggestions are based on Armenia's commitment to adopt directives of the European Union on habitats and birds conservation. Several changes in legislation have been discussed including merging the Law on Fauna with the Law on Flora, allowing stricter protection of bird species outside of protected areas, clarifying the list of hunted bird species, protecting designated Emerald sites of the Bern Convention on Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats, etc.
